The Bloomsburg Town Council and staff would like to thank Council Member James Huber for his years of service. James Huber has served since 2016. Council accepted his resignation on Monday, September 11th, 2023.
James Huber’s resignation leaves a vacant position through 12/31/2023. Council is advertising any Bloomsburg resident who is interested in being nominated by Council to submit a letter of interest. Please remember, you need to live within the Town of Bloomsburg boundaries and not just hold a Bloomsburg address. Letters can be sent to: info@bloomsburgpa.org up through 10/6/2023 by 12 p.m. Candidates will need to provide a brief overview of who they are and why they are interested in serving out the remaining term. This overview, will be conducted at the regularly scheduled Council meeting on Monday, October 9, 2023 at 7 p.m. in Council Chambers at 301 E. 2nd Street, Bloomsburg, PA 17815. Council members receive a monthly stipend of $333.33 a month.
Upon appointment, there will be several public meetings expected to be attended by this new candidate for participation and as a voting member.
