The Contractor completed placement of all Pump Station #3 walls and is erecting the formworks for the roof slab. Backfill of the pump station continues.
The Contractor has completed placement of the east and west side concrete abutment walls with Simulated Stone Facing for Closure Structure #10. Concrete placement for the east and west seep walls is complete and rebar installation continues for the closure sill.
The Inspection Trench between Sta. 2+75 to 4+50, Sta. 7+50 to 16+00, Sta. 18+00 to 24+50, Sta. 27+50 to Sta. 37+50 have been excavated and backfilled. The Toe Drain has been constructed from Sta. 8+50 to 16+00, Sta. 18+00 to 24+50, and from Sta. 27+50 to 37+50. Placement of Select and Random Levee Embankment continues in these areas. Current levee elevations are; 481 at the STP, 485 at Railroad St, and 483 near Market St.
Construction of the 48″ storm line along 11th Street is shut down due to access issue with the BASD. Approximately 1000 feet of pipe installed to date, including Manholes 109, 110, and 111.
Relocation of Manholes 111 and 112 is required due to conflicts with the existing 12″ water main. Construction of the 48″ Storm line from PS-#3 to MH-108 has started.
Excavation for construction of Closure Structure #11 in ongoing.
Excavation and disposal of the ash located along Railroad St. began on 4 SEP 19. Material will be disposed of at an approved landfill. Excavation and disposal of the ash was stopped on 5 SEP 19, due to concerns with radiation detection in the ash.
Project is about 35% completed and on schedule with completion in summer of 2020. Several levee sections are close to top of protection which is approximately Elevation 485.40 versus existing ground of 470.00.
