Project is about 20 percent complete. Progress is expected to pick up with warmer weather finally here.
The Contractor placed concrete for the second section of walls for the Storm and Sanitary Chambers at Pump Station #3 setting the stage for commencement of 10 feet of backfill to the intake chamber elevation.
The Contractor also placed concrete for the Closure Structure #10 center slab.
The Inspection Trench between Sta. 8+50 to 16+00, Sta. 16+50 to 24+50, Sta. 27+50 to 31+00, and Sta. 36+00 to 37+50 have been excavated and backfilled. The Toe Drain has been constructed from Sta. 8+50 to 16+00 and 16+50 to 24+50. Placement of Select and Random Levee Embankment continues in these areas.
Over 1000 feet of 48″ Storm Sewer has been installed, along with 96lf of 24″ Storm Sewer, including four large manholes (MH-102, MH-103, MH-104, MH-108).
These manholes are 16 feet deep. Installation of the two 8 foot diameter Sanitary Manholes and 235 LF of 30″ sanitary sewer is complete.
The Verizon Fiber Optic Line has been installed including boring under the existing levee.
During installation of the 24″ and 48″ storm lines out of MH-108, construction debris was encountered. Test pits will be dug after changeover of the Verizon Fiber Optic line to establish the extent of this material and action required.
