Closure Structure #10 is complete, and the BASD Contractor has placed the base course for the new access road through the structure.
The Inspection Trench between Sta. 2+75 to 4+50, Sta. 7+50 to 16+00, Sta. 18+00 to 24+50, Sta. 27+50 to Sta. 37+50 has been excavated and backfilled. The Toe Drain has been constructed from Sta. 8+50 to 16+00, Sta. 16+50 to 24+50, and from Sta. 27+50 to 37+50. Placement of Select and Random Levee Embankment continues in these areas. Current levee elevations are; 485 at the STP, 485 at Railroad St, the and 483 near Market St.
Construction of the 48″ storm line along 11th Street is shut down due to access issue with the BASD. Approximately 1000 feet of pipe installed to date, Including Manholes 109, 110, and 111. Relocation of Manholes 111 and 112 is required due to conflicts with the existing 12″ water main. Construction of the 48″ Storm line from PS-#3 to MH-108 should be completed in two weeks..
Installation of the 48″ RCP Storm line has been completed under the levee at Pump Station #3.
Control Structures #6 and #7 have been installed. These structures will extend approximately 32 feet below the top of levee. They are utilized to prevent river flood waters from backing into the town sewer system. Pump station 3 will pump the flows from the Town sewers over the levee into the river during flood events.
Installation of the 30″ DIP sanitary line continues from Control Structure #7 to MH-D at Pump Station #3.
Closure Structure #11 – The concrete abutment wall foundations have been placed and construction of the abutment walls is underway.
Excavation and disposal of the ash located along Railroad St. began on 4 SEP 19 and was completed on 26 SEP 19. Material was disposed of at the White Pines landfill. A total of 4,518.4 tons of ash and debris have been hauled offsite as of 17 SEP 19. Backfill of the area continues.
Project is nearing 50% completion and is on schedule for completion in summer of 2020.
