Town of Bloomsburg July 4th Event Cancelled
Annually, when July 4th comes around, the people of America celebrate the Declaration of Independence and the birth of the United States of America as an Independent nation. The Town of Bloomsburg takes great pride in participating in this yearly celebration. In previous years, the Town of Bloomsburg has had various bands play, games to entertain children, food vendors, and a beautiful display of fireworks as entertainment for the town’s citizens to enjoy. As wonderful as this celebration is, it doesn’t come without a cost. Again this year, it was regretfully decided that the cost to fund this celebration just wasn’t within the budget. Bloomsburg Town Council, Town Hall Staff, and Bloomsburg University Student Philanthropy Council are continuing their hard work and efforts to make this year’s celebration as memorable as prior years. Together we are asking the citizens for help to collect the funds needed to put on the event. Online donations can be sent to www.TakeActionBU.org/fireworks. Donors can also send checks via mail payable to: BU Foundation and sent to: BU Foundation, 50 E. Main Street, 4th Floor, Bloomsburg, PA 17815. Please add “Fireworks” in the memo. Any additional proceeds donated will be deposited into an account and used towards the following years celebration. All sponsors will be recognized during the event and your support will be publicized in the Press Enterprise.
In our efforts to make this event a community wide celebration, we are accepting applications for food vendors, craft vendors, and food artisan vendors. Vendor application can be found below or at Town Hall located at 301 E. 2nd Street, Bloomsburg, PA 17815.
ALL FOOD VENDORS AND FOOD ARTISAN VENDORS MUST FILL OUT THE SPECIAL EVENT HEALTH LICENSE APPLICATION
Thank you in advance for your consideration. Should you have any questions, please contact the town of Bloomsburg Celebration Group at (570) 784-7123.
